Theodore learns about Kulivtsi
Theodore the turtle was exploring a new part of his pond when he came across a strange-looking rock. As he got closer, he realized it wasn't a rock at all, but an old map!
The map showed a place called Kulivtsi. Theodore had never heard of it before, so he asked his friend Olga the owl to tell him more.
Olga explained that Kulivtsi is a small village in a country called Ukraine. It's located in an area known as Chernivtsi Oblast.
"Kulivtsi used to be part of a region called Zastavna Raion," Olga hooted. "But recently, Ukraine changed how its regions are organized. Now Kulivtsi is part of a bigger area called Chernivtsi Raion."
Theodore was fascinated. "What else can you tell me about Kulivtsi?" he asked eagerly.
Olga thought for a moment. "Well, the people there speak Ukrainian and Romanian. And Kulivtsi is part of a community called Kadubivtsi rural hromada."
Theodore wasn't sure what "hromada" meant, so Olga explained it's a type of community in Ukraine where people work together to make decisions.
As the sun began to set, Theodore thanked Olga for teaching him about this faraway place. He tucked the map safely under a lily pad, excited to look at it again tomorrow and imagine more adventures in Kulivtsi.
