Theodore Discovers a Mystery Book
Theodore Discovers a Mystery Book
Theodore the turtle loved to explore the library. One day, he crawled onto a shelf and found a book with a mysterious cover. It showed a man in a hat and coat, looking very serious.
Theodore opened the book carefully with his small turtle claws. The title said "Dance Without Music" by Peter Cheyney. Theodore was curious - how could someone dance without music?
As he flipped through the pages, Theodore learned this was a thriller book for grown-ups. It was about a detective named Caryl who was trying to solve a case. The case involved a man and his wife who was very sick from taking bad medicine.
Theodore thought being a detective sounded exciting. Maybe one day he could solve mysteries too! For now, he was happy learning new things from books.
Even though Theodore couldn't read all the big words, he liked looking at the pictures. The book was from 1947, a long time ago. Back then, detectives wore fancy hats and long coats.
Theodore decided he would keep exploring the library to find more interesting books. Who knew what other exciting stories he might discover on his next adventure!
