Theodore Discovers a French Town Called Grisolles
Theodore the turtle was exploring France when he came across a charming little town called Grisolles. As he slowly made his way through the streets, he learned some interesting things about this place:
Grisolles was a small town in southern France, in an area called Tarn-et-Garonne. About 4,000 people lived there.
The town had some neat old buildings that Theodore admired. There was a pretty town hall with a fancy front. He also saw an old church with a tall tower.
In the center of town, Theodore found a covered market building from long ago. People still used it to buy and sell fresh food and other goods.
Theodore was excited to discover a museum in Grisolles. It was named after someone called Théodore Calbet. He wondered if this Théodore was a turtle too!
As he continued exploring, Theodore noticed Grisolles had a train station. Trains could take people to bigger cities nearby like Toulouse and Montauban.
The turtle was fascinated to learn that Grisolles had been around for hundreds of years. Yet it was still a lively place where people lived and worked today.
Theodore decided Grisolles seemed like a pleasant little town. He was glad he had stumbled upon it during his travels through France. Maybe he would stay and make some new friends before continuing on his way.
